The OCTAVE project

The OCTAVE Project (Online Collaborative Training for AIDS Vaccine Evaluation), provides web-based training to support investigative teams around the world testing novel vaccines to prevent HIV.

e-Learning, or online learning, can be an accessible and cost effective training method for clinical trial staff. It is hoped that OCTAVE will complement other capacity building efforts undertaken by sponsoring countries and companies.

The OCTAVE project is supported by the U.S. NIH Office of AIDS Research.
OCTAVE is led by investigators from the NIAID-funded HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) in collaboration with contributors from many global partners committed to the search for an effective HIV vaccine.
