Welcome to the OCTAVE eTraining Portal

Attracting new talent and ideas, harnessing the full power of modern biomedical research, and building the capacity of developing world research institutions and scientists are among the critical challenges facing the field of HIV vaccine research today.

This is why the OCTAVE Project (Online Collaborative Training for AIDS Vaccine Evaluation) host a series of five capacity-building workshops aimed at educating and preparing Young and Early Career Investigators (YECI) for professions in HIV prevention research. New approaches and new ways of thinking are critical to accelerating the development of a preventive HIV vaccine.

YECIs selected to participate in one or more workshops will have the opportunity to work with an experienced international faculty of investigators, community leaders, and professionals to build relevant skills. The workshops will blend web-based learning, via this portal, to help prepare YECIs for interactive face-to-face sessions of formal and small group presentations.

This portal will host online materials and eLearning activities for the OCTAVE capacity building workshops.
